Truck Driver
Truck drivers use heavy vehicles to transport goods and materials from one area to another.
Duties
- check brakes, oil, tyres, electrical systems,water, hydraulic and air;
- load, or supervise loading, of material onto the truck;
- transport material to destination;
- maintain log book.
Skills Required
If you do not have any experience, there are many companies that
provide training, which may involve a cost. Companies like QFS
Australia, Consolidated Training Services and Immersive Operator Training in Perth run
work ready programs for inexperienced truck drivers, but do not
guarantee employment.

The following qualifications will improve your chances of
employment:
- Heavy rigid (HR) vehicle licence and some previous experience operating heavy machinery;
- First aid certificate;
- Pre-employment medical.

$60 000 - $100 000
