Certificate III
This qualification will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to assist paramedical staff (physiotherapists, occupational and speech pathologist) by helping with the patient's personal care and exercise and in preparing written and verbal reports on their progress. You will learn skills that enable you to assist in the provision of an allied health program, effective communication, safe manual handling and first aid. You will also learn about complying with infection control procedures and working with people from culturally diverse backgrounds. As part of this qualification you will undertake a supervised work placement where you will be able to apply the skills and knowledge you have learned.
