Managed by Challenger TAFE on behalf of TAFEWA, ACEPT has been
founded in collaboration with industry. An Industry Management
Board comprising representatives from major operating and
service companies in the resource sectors guides the Centre's
training program.
ACEPT can also tailor courses specific to the individual needs

In 2008 ACEPT moved to it's new facility in the Australian
Marine Complex in Cockburn Sound, south of Perth.
Courses offered
Certificate II
Level
This qualification will provide you with the practical skills
and knowledge to operate machines and equipment in the chemical,
hydrocarbon and oil refining industries. Subjects include those
covered in Certificate I in Process Plant Skills, plus you will
learn how to process and record information and respond to an
emergency. You may also choose to learn additional skills from
subjects which include undertaking minor maintenance and operating
process control systems.

Certificate III
Level
This qualification will provide you with the practical skills
and knowledge to work in the chemical, hydrocarbons and/or oil
industry. You will learn to work safely and efficiently as an
operator of equipment and processes within the industry. You will
also learn about quality practices and workplace communication.

Certificate IV
Level
This qualification will provide you with the practical skills
and knowledge to work in the chemical, hydrocarbons and/or oil
industry. You will gain skills in a wide variety of competencies
relating to the industry. Most of these are complex and
non-routine, and include skills in planning, developing procedures,
training and the evaluation of work practices.
