WA Training Awards

CME Member Macmahon has been recognised at both a state and national level with the announcement of two major awards.

The Hon Julia Gillard MP, Minister for Education, Employment and Workplace Relations presented the Macmahon team with the 2008 Minister's Award for Excellence for Employers of Australian Apprentices - Northern Western Australia Region, at a gala ceremony held at Parliament House in Canberra on 4 September.

The Award recognises employers that demonstrate commitment, innovation and outstanding achievement in the training of Australian Apprentices.

The following day the Western Australian State Training Awards 2008 were held in Perth and Macmahon received the WA Training Initiative Award 2008 for the Indigenous Mining Trainee Program in Newman.

This CME sponsored award is for innovation and excellence in providing training or initiatives which specifically meet the needs of people from groups which are traditionally under-represented in training or the workforce.

CME congratulates Macmahon on this outstanding achievement.
