Education and training are the keys to success - the WA Training Awards showcase some of the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations. This award recognises innovative and/or leading practice initiatives, programs or products developed and implemented for the purpose of providing high quality vocational education and training.
Training Initiative Award sponsored by Chamber of Minerals and Energy Western Australia
- Awarded for innovation and excellence in providing on the job training, off the job training or VET for School Students initiatives which specifically meets the needs of people from at least one group traditionally under represented in training or the workforce.
Eligible organisations include:
- small, medium and large employers that provide training services for their employees
- registered training organisations
- organisations providing VET for School Students programs - the application must be for an initiative, service, program or product associated with the organisation's VET for School Students services.
- The winner receives $8,000 cash, framed certificate, specially designed trophy and the opportunity to represent Western Australia at the Australian Training Awards in November.
